We wanted to give them the place they deserve in your musical experience. Metadata is essential for browsing, identifying, and sorting your music files. Metadata refers to the non-musical information contained in an audio file, for example the title, album, artist, composer, year, or cover artwork. The Replay Gain can also be applied to songs streamed from a partner service provided that it makes this information available, such as TIDAL. If the reference is not available in the track’s metadata, Audirvāna will calculate it. The adjustment is based on a sound level reference for each track, according to the EBU R128 and DR standards. Only your files’ metadata can be modified from within the app if you choose to.įinally, in order to prevent volume jumps during playback between a playlist’s different tracks, the Replay Gain mode allows you to automatically adjust the volume between tracks and maintain a consistent playback level. Audirvāna copies and processes the file you play on the fly without keeping it in memory. Folders may be directly stored on your computer, or on an external hard drive connected via USB or a network, on a NAS for example. If you are a Mac user, you can also synchronize your iTunes Music library in the same manner.
